Govt to build new cargo port near Jakarta

Tokyo (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian government`s plan to build a new cargo port near Jakarta was discussed by visiting Vice President Boediono and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) President Hirose Watanabe here on Monday. "The JBIC hailed the government`s plan but it suggested that the port should be equipped with a railway infrastructure to smooth goods transportation," Boediono`s spokesman, Yopie Hidayat, said here on Monday.

Bali's exports to Japan worth US$69 million

Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - While its trade with a number of countries were declining due to the global economic crisis, Bali was still able to increase its exports to Japan, amounting to US$69.7 million in the January-September 2010 period. "Bali`s exports of US$69.7 million increased 16.3 percent from US$59.9 million in the same period in 2009," Putu Bagiada of the Trade and Industry Office of Denpasar, said here on Monday.
