AFITA conference in Bogor on it application in agriculture

Bogor (ANTARA News) - Asian experts on the application of information technology in agriculture began a four-day meeting here Monday to discuss ways of speeding up the dissemination of information technology among Asian farmers. The experts are members of then Asian Federation for Information and Technology in Agriculture (AFITA) holding their biennial meeting in Bogor hosted by the Bagor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), an IPB spokesperson , Henny Windarti, said.

Foreign tourist arrivals expected to exceed target

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik said he was optimistic that the number of foreign tourists who visited Indonesia in 2010 would exceed the target of seven million. "I am confident that the 7 million foreign tourist arrival target would be achieved or even exceeded," the minister said here on Monday.

Govt issues mineral, coal check prices

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government has issued an energy and mineral resources ministerial decisiion no 17 of 2010 on mineral and coal sales check prices. "The regulation took effect September 23, 2010, must be followed by all mineral and coal producers," Mineral and Coal Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Bambang Setiawan said here Monday.

AFITA conference expected to encourage agribusiness
