Bomb blasts won`t affect taiwanese investment in Indonesia

Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The two low-level bomb blasts which slightly damaged two hotels in Jakarta and killed nine people will mot affect Taiwanese investment in Indonesia, a Taiwanese official here said. Timothy Chin-tien Yang, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia, in an interview here on Friday evening said cooperation in many fields between Taiwan and Indonesia would not be affected. Bomb blasts could happen anywhere in the world.

Investment in Batam FTZ not affected by bombings

Suicide bombings at two South Jakarta hotels on Friday will not affect investment in the Batam, Bintan and Karimun free trade zones, an official has said. Riau Islands Governor Ismeth Abdullah said Saturday the free trade zones were far away from Jakarta. Investors, he added, know conditions on the island well. “Bombs will not scare investors here,” Ismeth told state news agency Antara after inaugurating the Graha Kepri building in Batam.
