KPPU to Probe Claims of Carrefour Monopoly
Not sure I would believe any GOI data over Nielsen,even though it is now Dutch, which shows Carrefour having a 7.7% market share. Also, if this is a monopoly, why do they have the best prices out there? Surely, there couldn't be other motives could there? I would be shocked. Shocked. Also, why can't Makro pay off the right people to stop their fucking lunacy with membership cards and bulk purchases because their license is "Wholesale". If they fix it, they might even be able to compete?

Chinese tourist arrivals in Bali up 11.35 pct
Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - A total of 34,539 Chinese tourists visited Bali in the first two months of 2009, accounting for 11.35 percent of the total foreign tourist arrivals to the resort island over the period. "The number of Chinese tourists increased 5,740 or 19.93 percent compared to the same period last year when 28,799 Chinese tourists visited Bali," Head of the Bali Provincial Office of the Central Board of Statistics (BPS) Ida Komang Wisnu said on Sunday.

that attitude has always amazed me. what company would be stupid enough to employ a foreigner, when they could get an equivalent qualified indonesian to do the same job for 2,3,5,10 times less cost?

As of 2010, all means af sea transport must fly Indonesian flag
Medan (ANTARA News) - All means of sea transport operating in Indonesia need to fly the Indonesian flag as of 2010. "Meanwhile, commodities imported using government funds must use Indonesian ships," head of the foreign sea transportation sub directorate of the transportation ministry, Adolf R Tambunan, said here on Thursday. According to him, this decision was already laid down in the roadmap on the use of national ships (cabotage) involving 13 ministers.
