Free Trade Deal May Sour Dairy Sector
The Asean-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, to be signed this month, is unlikely to help the local dairy industry meet its long-standing goal to meet domestic demand, a senior Ministry of Industry official said.

Makassar Journalists Reject Criminilization of the Press
TEMPO Interactive, Makassar:Around 30 journalists from the Makassar Journalists Coalition yesterday held a silent protest in front of the Stella Maris Hospital at Penghibur Street, in Makassar, South Sulawesi. They plastered their mouths with black tape as a sign of rejection against all forms of press criminalization. “We insist that the Press Law be applied when there are disputes involving the media,” said Makassar Independent Journalists Alliance (AJI) chairman, Andi Fadli.

Minister says protectionistic tendencies may be harmful
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reminded here on Tuesday that protectionism trend amidst the current global financial crisis may cause financial loss to the national as well as to the global economy. The minister made the remark at a meeting with 15 Indonesian ambassadors.
