Indonesia's Kuntoro in line to head new reform unit
JAKARTA (Reuters) - Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, a former Indonesian energy minister, is in line to head a new presidential unit which could speed up reform of the civil service and accelerate infrastructure projects, a minister said on Tuesday. The new unit would help improve coordination between various ministries and resolve many of the bottle necks holding back Indonesia's economic growth.

Market signals disappointment with new cabinet
The market has signaled disappointment with the cabinet lineup announced by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Wednesday night, according to analysts. The market may be somewhat disappointed that except for some key technocrats, cabinet posts may signal 'business as usual'," Citi analyst Johanna Chua said in a statement Thursday. Such a lineup may slow the structural reforms expected to boost Indonesia's growth to a higher level, as promised by Yudhoyono during his campaign, she added.

Gemalto Interested in Developing Chip Cards in Indonesia
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Gemalto, a company dealing in digital security solutions, yesterday opened a centre for personalized sales in the Indonesian market, located in Pancoran, South Jakarta. The new facility is expected to support Gemalto in providing card production services to provide financial institutions with an end-to-end system. The company also wants to develop the use of chip technology-based cards (EMV) in Indonesia. Gemalto has been operating in Indonesia for the past 20 years.

Economic ministers facing three challenges : observer
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian economic ministers are facing at least three main challenges, according to economic observer Tony A Prasentyantono. "The first is realizing infrastructure projects to promote efficiency and then curbing inflation and attracting investment," he said to ANTARA News following the inauguration of the new cabinet. In the new cabinet for 2009-2014 Sri Mulyani remains the finance minister. Mari Pangestu also still holds the post of trade minister.
