Britain wants to increase investment in RI`s energy sector

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Britain wants to increase its investment in Indonesia`s energy sector and is interested in the possibility of taking part in the development of oil and gas fields in the D-Alpha Block in Natuna waters in Riau Islands province , a minister said. The British interest was expressed by a member of the British royal family, Prince Andrew, at a meeting with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro here on Tuesday (March 2).

Bali`s handicraft exports up 10 pct

Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Bali's handicraft exports in January 2008 rose 10 percent to US$16.9 million from US$15.14 million in the same period last year. Wooden handicraft and furniture topped the list of foreign exchange earners, contributing US$8.9 million to the total exports in January 2008, Head of Foreign Trade Division at the Bali Industry and Trade Office Ni Wayan Kusumawathi said on Thursday. This compared to US$7.9 million in January 2007, she said.
