The UBC factory is a pioneer project and coal upgrading factory applying a technology which could increase the quality of low quality coal so that Indonesia in the future is expected to supply the world with good quality of coal.

Pertamina to divest non-core-business subsidiaries

Jakarta(ANTARA News)- State-owned oil company Pertamina will divest its subsidiaries, particularly its non-core business entities that are suffering losses, the company's deputy president director, Iin Arifin Takhyan, said. "Pertamina will divest non-core and non performing subsidiaries," Takhyan said after a hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR)'s Commission VI which deals with energy affairs here on Thursday.

CPO price predicted to drop further next year

Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - Indonesian crude pal oil (CPO) producers predict that the CPO price in the world market will fall further to US$500-US$600 per ton from US$600-US$700 per ton this year. "Actually it is difficult for me to predict the CPO price next year. But it could be US$500-US$600 per ton based on the prevailing trend in which the price dropped to US$505 per ton in late November 2008," said Derom Bangun, chairman of the Indonesian CPO Producers Association (GAPKI).

RH, if you want to have a look at ubuntu, you can either have a play with a live cd, a persistent usb (so that you can save files / options), or dual boot it on your current pc

A little - but you generally find linux systems, if they haven't become too bloated with crap, tend to run faster than windows anyway. I'm not sure, but could you run fruity loops under a vm install of windows KKC? That would run slower, but at least you would have directx which will never get into linux seeing that its M$ owned.

ahem. that is what "Wine" was made for. it's a linux Windows™ emulator. For a partial list of compatible applications click here (you'll have to register and login to get the complete list). having said that, however, i would not recommend ubuntu at this stage for anything but business environments where there is an adequate knowledge base and support for the system.

Thought not, Pembantu or whatever its called is all well and good for net surfing, e---mail and word processing, perhaps even a spot of MP3 listening. I'll have to reluctantly stick with Windows though for the music production.
