Industry minister: govt to revise industrial growth target

Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Indonesian industry minister Fahmi Idris said here on Sunday the government would revise its industrial growth target in 2009 which has been set at five percent because of the financial crisis in the US. Kadin hopes govt intensifies domestic purchasing power policy implementation

Jakarta, (ANTARA News)- The Indonesian chamber of commerce and industry (KADIN) has expressed hope that the government should step up its domestic purchasing power policy to anticipate the impact of the US financial crisis on Indonesia`s manufacturing sector. Chairman of KADIN`s fiscal and monetary committee, Bambang Soesatyo made the remarks here on Sunday, adding that the impact of US financial crisis also tended to cause a financial recession in the European Union (EU).
