Riau Islands SEZs in place 'by September'

The government will have set up the management agencies for the special economic zones (SEZs) in the Batam, Bintan and Karimun islands by September, as required by recently issued government regulations. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Boediono said Friday that the government was now awaiting the details of the agencies from the Riau Islands provincial administration for approval.

Japanese investors join local partner to develop jatropha in NTT

Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - A number of Japanese investors are working together with a local partner to develop jatropha curcas plantations for the production of bio-fuel energy in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province, a company executive said. "We, together with delegates of Japanese companies, have observed directly all jatropha plantation locations in Timor Island.
