Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The number of individual tax payers in Indonesia increased by only 200,000 to 300,000 a year during the past five years, the country`s top tax official said. "In addition, only about 33 percent to 34 percent of them pay their taxes regularly," Darmin Nasution, director general of taxes, told media editors here on Tuesday night.

President confident investment climate in Indonesia will ameliorate

Government Prepares CPO Export Duty Increase

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The government will monitor the development of cooking oil price before increasing the export duty on crude palm oil (CPO) export duty. CPO and cooking oil producers are regarded as not yet having been optimum in terms of market operations. “If (the ideal cooking oil price) isn't reached, we'll certainly implement (the export duty increase0” said Boediono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy, in Jakarta yesterday (5/6).
