CDMA tech operators face image problem

With more CDMA-based cellular handsets entering the market, variety and price are no longer the main obstacles to the industry's growth in Indonesia, operators claim. When CDMA technology entered the Indonesian market some six years ago, most operators targeted entry-level users by positioning themselves in the fixed wireless market and offering much lower prices than GSM technology.

Malaysia & Indonesia Build Oil Pipeline

TEMPO Interactive, Kuala Lumpur: Companies from Malaysia, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia signed an oil pipeline building contract worth US$7 billion or around Rp61.6 trillion in Malaysia for a seven year period, yesterday (28/5). Malaysian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Baadawi, witnessed the signing of the contract along with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during the Islamic World’s Economic Forum in Kuala Lumpur.

Indonesia offers Malaysian businessmen wider cooperation

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono here on Monday offered Malaysian businessmen wider, fairer and mutually beneficial cooperation. He made the offer at a meeting with dozens of Malaysian businessmen grouped in the Malaysia-Indonesia Business Council, which was also attended by Indonesian businessmen.
