Movie data could be a goer ... Traffic data is hard to come by, and unreliable. Pollution? Here's one reason i won't do pollution data: Pollution data useless: Survey by Adianto Simamora (The Jakarta Post, Jakarta) Environmentalists have urged the city administration to relocate its air monitoring stations because they are no longer evaluating air pollution accurately.

Go Kuku! Information wants to be free! So you like a challenge? Not many of us have shares and care about the JSX, but how about some really relevant data on the front page - any chance of hacking into the real-time Jakarta air pollution index, or traffic updates, or the movie schedule (maybe a nomat special!)

WB: RI`s investment to grow 11.7 percent in 2007
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The World Bank has predicted that investment`s contribution to Indonesia`s economic growth this year will increase to 11.7 percent from 2.9 percent a year earlier. The central and regional governments` consumption expenditures were expected to increase in 2007 so that it would raise investment, World Bank economist William Wallace said here Thursday.

President asks RI businessmen to invest at home

Government Considered Not Serious in Developing Biofuel
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The government is considered not to be serious in terms of following up on the program to develop biofuel. As a result of this, PT Pertamina has reduced the supply of fuel with 5 percent biosolar content. “Pertamina has finally revised this by reducing the content to 2.5 percent,” said Paulus Tjakrawan, Treasurer of the Association of Indonesia Biofuel Producers, during a meeting for preparing for an international oil palm conference in Jakarta, yesterday (04/04).

Medco to Build Rp5.4 Trillion Electricity Generating Plant
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Medco Energi Internasional will build a geothermal-powered electricity generating plant (PLTP) in Sarula, North Sumatera, through its subsidiary company PT Medco Power, at a cost of US$600 million (Rp5.4 trillion). The project, with a capacity of 330 megawatts, will be developed in coordination with Ormat Technologies (United States) and Itochu Corp. (Japan).

Government to Maintain Investor Confidence
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Boediono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy, has said he hopes that the Composite Share Index (IHSG) at the Jakarta Stock Exchange can be maintained or even continue increasing. Currently the IHSG has exceeded the level of 1,800 points. “If the situation and their confidence are strong, the prospects for the macro and micro economies are better. Investors will also like to stay here,” said Boediono.
