Indonesia 2007 CPO exports seen at 11.7 mln tons

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The country's crude palm oil (CPO) exports are expected to reach 11.7 mln tons this year up from an estimated 11.3 mln in 2006, with rising local demand limiting export growth, Indonesia Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) chairman Derom Bangun said. The association expects industry-wide CPO output to reach 16.4 mln tons this year, up from 15.0 mln estimated in 2006, he said.

Inco appoints new board of commissioners

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT International Nickel Indonesia (Inco) at an extraordinary shareholders` meeting here Wednesday appointed new people to its board of commissioners, including a new president commissioner. Named as members of Inco`s new board of commissioners were Murilo Ferreira, Mark Cutifani and Leonardo Moretzsohn with Ferreira assuming the role of president commissioner, the company said in a statement.

Clean Biofuel to Invest in Gorontalo

TEMPO Interactive, Gorontalo: Clean Biofuel Pte. Ltd., a Singaporean company, will build a biofuel factory with an investment of US$190 million in Pohuwato, Gorontalo. The factory and plantation that will cover an area of 40,000 hectares are planned to have an installed production capacity of 200 million liters per year. According to Gorontalo Governor Fadel Muhammad, today the company has only planted castor and oil palm.
