To attract more buyers, the group is offering a 6 percent guaranteed rental return per annum for the first three years of operation. -- JP So if I buy this one-bedroom flat in Bali for $200,000, I can then rent it out for $1000 USD a month? (guarantee according to this). Question to all you expats, is that a reasonable rent???

Panorama to build apartments in Bali
JAKARTA: Tourism business the Panorama Leisure Group is planning to build a boutique hotel and apartment complex in Seminyak, Bali in what the management says is a vote of confidence in the island's tourism prospects. Panorama management said in a statement that it would build the complex, the Haven Villa and Apartments, in the second quarter of 2007, with operations expected to commence at the end of 2008.

With total reserves of 453 trillion cubic feet (TCF), or about 81.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent, Indonesia has the largest coal-bed methane (CBM) deposits in the world after China. CBM -- natural gas formed by the activity of microbes during the coal-forming process, and trapped amid coal beds -- could be a godsend for Indonesia as it struggles to cope with the depletion of its oil reserves and rising demand.

BI may reduce rate further to 9.25% on prices data
Slower inflation in January gives the central bank room to further cut rates, analysts say, although not as aggressively as previously due to the need to guard against possible upward inflationary pressures and global rate trends ahead. Economist Fauzi Ichsan of Standard Chartered Indonesia said he believed Bank Indonesia (BI) would likely lower its key rate by a quarter percentage point to 9.25 percent from 9.5 percent at present.

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta Vice President Jusuf Kalla is attempting to convince major Indian major steelmakers, including Essar, Tata Steel and Ispat Steel, to invest in Indonesia. Malaysia's Zelan eyer major power plant in Indonesia
Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Fresh from securing a major infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia, Zelan Bhd expects to clinch another major power plant deal in excess of 1 bln rgt in Indonesia, the New Straits Times newspaper reported. The newspaper quoted an unidentified source as saying that the design-and-build project in Indonesia is bigger than the one Zelan won recently in Saudi Arabia.
