Indonesia Achieves Highest Export Record Since Independence Tuesday, 04 July, 2006 | 12:48 WIB TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Indonesia achieved export value amounting to US$8.34 billion in May this year, a 9.79 percent increase over the previous month. The export value is the highest ever since the country’s independence. According to Rusman Heriawan, Head of the Central Statistics Bureau (BPS), if this is compared to the same period last year, May’s export value rose by 16.10 percent.
