Islamic bank to finance energy projects in Indonesia The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) would finance electricity projects in Indonesia that could be valued at 30 billion U.S. dollars, IDB Vice President Amadou Boubacar Cisse said here Thursday. The vice president said that the bank would finance the projects by its own funds and also act as an arranger to shift resources from the Middle East to the energy projects in Indonesia.

Indonesia Government To Offer 41 New Oil, Gas Blocks In Aug 07-26-06 05:49 AM EST JAKARTA -(Dow Jones)- The Indonesian government will next month offer 41 new oil and gas blocks to local and foreign oil companies, Oil and Gas director general at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Luluk Sumiarso said Wednesday. Sumiarso said 10 blocks will be offered via regular tender, while 31 blocks will be offered directly.

Wednesday July 26, 2:16 PM Standard and Poor's upgrades Indonesia ratings International ratings agency Standard and Poor's raised Indonesia's long-term foreign and local currency ratings on the country's improving fiscal and external performance. SP raised Indonesia's long-term foreign currency to "BB-" from "B+" and the long-term local currency rating to "BB+" from "BB", while the short-term rating of "B" was affirmed and the outlook on the long-term rating was stable.
