RI, Singapore leaders to ink deals on economic zones The Jakarta Post, Jakarta President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong are slated to sign an agreement on economic cooperation that will include arrangements for the establishment of special economic zones in Indonesian territory.

Minister upbeat about industrial growth in 2006 Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Industry Minister Fahmi Idris said here on Monday he was optimistic the country`s industrial growth will meet the target of 7.7 percent in spite of the fact that growth in the first quarter had only reached 2.83 percent. "I am optimistic because substantial changes will happen in the second semester," he said replying to a question regarding the country`s industrial growth which was reported to be tending to decline.

The money is meant to help the reconstruction program, Director of the World Bank office in Indonesia, Andrew Steer said after meeting Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X here on Monday.
