Apr 20, 2006 Freeport Indonesia pays US$1.2bn in tax JAYAPURA, Papua - PT Freeport Indonesia (FI), which has been in the spotlight for alleged environmental-unfriendly gold, silver and copper mining activities in Tembagapura, Mimika district, paid US$1.2 billion in tax, dividends and royalties to the Indonesian government last year. The report was revealed to ANTARA by the National Commission on Human Rights (Komas HAM) of Papua chapter.

Apr 19 00:37 Bakrie Sumatera builds biodiesel plant Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk (BSP), in association with PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekin), will soon build a bio-diesel plant with a capacity of 60,000 to 100,000 tons a year at a cost of US$25 million. Managing Director of PT BSP Ambono Janurianto disclosed here Tuesday the bio-diesel plant to be built in Jambi or Batam, will be run by PT Bakrie Rekin Bio-Energy, a joint venture company set up by PT BSP and PT Rekin.
