Youth invited to chess c'ships

JAKARTA (JP): Students from kindergarten level to high school
in Greater Jakarta can compete in the 2001 Inter-Students chess
championships held by Utut Adianto chess school from Feb. 25 to
Feb. 27, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

They can register at Jl. Siliwangi 15, Rawapanjang in Bekasi
area, phone no. (021) 82412452. Each participant will be charged
Rp 5,000.

Participants will be grouped in three based on their ages. The
first is for senior high school students and public aged between
16 and 18, the second is for the junior high school students and
public from 13 to 15-year-old and the third will consist
kindergarten and elementary school students under 12.

Champions of each age group will receive trophies, chess books
and scholarships to study in the chess school for a certain
period.

Www.ututadianto.com said the Indonesian Chess Association
(Percasi) talent scouter will observe 10 top players who will be
selected as the Dream Team II members. (ivy)
