Yogya to hold Great Sale

YOGYAKARTA: In conjunction with Yogyakarta's 284th
Anniversary, the Yogyakarta Tourism and Culture Office will hold
a Yogyakarta Great Sale for one month, starting from September
10, an official said on Tuesday.

Stef B. Indarto, the chief of the Great Sale committee, said
that, during the sale period, all shops along Jl. Malioboro and
Jl. Urip Sumohardjo would sell items at discounted prices --
between 10 to 70 percent lower than normal.

Stef also said some airlines were participating in the Great
Sale program by giving discounted ticket prices for flights to
and from Yogyakarta. -- JP
