Yogya elects AJI chief

YOGYAKARTA: Raihul Fadjri was reelected on Sunday as chairman of the Yogyakarta branch of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) for the second consecutive two-year term.

The provincial congress also agreed to slim-line the organization, which will now have four deputies and a secretariat consisting of three persons.

Among the decisions and programs set during the conference was to insist that the murder of slain journalist Fuad M. Syafruddin be solved and to hold a seminar on investigative journalism. (swa)
