YLKI sues Pertamina for Rp 11 billion

BENGKULU, Bengkulu: The local branch of the Indonesian Consumers Association (YLKI) is suing state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina for Rp 11 billion (US$1.2 million) for distributing tainted fuel here.

YLKI has accused Pertamina of distributing gasoline mixed with diesel in Bengkulu.

"We demand that Pertamina compensate around 200 people who have reported to us that their vehicles were damaged after using the mixed fuel," Bengkulu's YLKI chairman Ahmad Nurdin said on Monday. --Antara
