YLKI opens Complaint Month

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) has launched a two-month "Public Transportation Complaint Month" that will last through October.

The foundation is inviting members of the public to voice their opinions about public transportation services.

According to YLKI, safety on public transportation is often neglected, citing as an example the fatal train accident in Cirebon, West Java, on Sept. 1, which killed 42 people.

Meanwhile, fares on city buses have also been increased without an improvement in services, the foundation said.

Letters of complaint can be sent to the YLKI office on Jl. Pancoran Barat VII No.1 Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, or call (021) 7971378, 7981858/59.

The foundation's e-mail address is konsumen@rad.net.id and the fax number is (021) 7981038.(06)
