Year's drama in photo display

JAKARTA (JP): Forty works by photojournalists showcasing the
country's most dramatic moments of the year -- starting from the
resignation of Soeharto to the fatal shooting at Semanggi
cloverleaf -- will go on display at Antara Press Photo Gallery
beginning Friday.

The Indonesian Photojournalists Association said works to be
displayed during the Dec. 18 to Jan. 14 exhibition were selected
from about 80 black-and-white and color pictures submitted by the
association's 100 members.

The Dari Lengser Sampai Semanggi (From Resignation To
Semanggi) exhibition also serves to publicly launch the
association.

The organizer will also hold a one-day discussion on the
photos on the second day. The show will travel to several cities,
including Bandung, Yogyakarta and Denpasar. (msa)
