For the last 12 months, the country's arts and entertainment
scene as well as the environment has had its ups and downs, due
in part to influences from the prolonged economic crisis,
political upheavals and most recently, the Bali bombing. As the
year draws to a close, it is time to look back and examine its
high and low points and hope for a better year ahead.

This is the third edition of Review 2002. The first edition
discussed the national scene and Jakarta, the second looked at
the business and world scenes. Today's paper focuses on what's
going on in the environment, the arts and entertainment world as
well as the sports scene this year.
