Yachts to reach Ambon tonight

JAKARTA (JP): The first yacht in the 20th Darwin to Ambon
International Yachting Championships is scheduled to cross the
finish line this evening at Amahusu Beach in Ambon, Maluku.

The secretary of the competition's organizing committee, MA
Namsa, told Antara yesterday that the 76 yacht fleet had embarked
on their 650-mile race in Darwin on July 27.

Yachts from Australia, Germany, United States, Canada, New
Zealand, England, France, Switzerland, Cyprus and Indonesia have
entered the annual event. Indonesia has two yachts, A Room with a
View and NT Spirit, in the championships.

The winner will receive the Siwalima trophy. (yan)
