Xmas with Gen. Feisal

DILI, East Timor: Armed Forces Chief Gen. Feisal Tanjung is
slated visit Dili on Tuesday to attend a Christmas celebration
with troops, government officials and citizens in East Timor.

Col. Gleny Kairupan, a member of the Christmas celebration
committee, said Feisal will fly in on Tuesday morning from Irian
Jaya and he will leave after the celebration in the afternoon to
attend a similar ceremony in Jakarta.

It is now customary for the Armed Forces chief to attend
Christmas celebrations in the predominantly Catholic East Timor,
a tradition that began in the times of Gen. L.B. Moerdani. (emb)
