WWF vows to protect Bali's turtles

DENPASAR: Indonesia remains a haven for turtle poaching, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Indonesia said on Monday.

Sea turtles are protected animals. Green sea turtles are slaughtered and traded in several locations on the island.

WWF Indonesia executive director Mubaliq Achmad, said although their office in Denpasar would be officially closed in July, turtle protection programs would continue. --Antara
