Wrestlers named for KL c'ship

JAKARTA (JP): Seven wrestlers have been invited to join the
training center here in preparations for the second Southeast
Asian Senior Freestyle Wrestling Championship to be held in Kuala
Lumpur from Nov. 18 to Nov. 21.

Endro Soemardjo named Suriyanto (50kgs), Dedi Damhudi (54kgs),
Budi Gunawan (63kgs), Adi Listiano (69kgs), Zulhaidir (58kgs),
Didi Supriadi (76kgs) and Bambang Erawan (85kgs).

Endro told Antara after attending on Monday the installment
ceremony of the state minister of youth affairs and sport that
the wrestlers must attend the training center by Nov. 10. He said
if the nominated wresters failed to take up the opportunity by
the set date that he would replace them with the winners of the
senior national wrestling championship which took place last
month in Medan, North Sumatra.

"We have not set any target for the Southeast Asian
championship. We hope they will do their best because there will
be only five participating countries: Malaysia, the Philippines,
Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia," he said. (ivy)
