World Cup and productivity

From Merdeka

The thrill of the World Cup tournament in the United States has stirred the enthusiasm of the public. And the deftness of the players has led the people to feel as if they are suffering from "soccer fever."

The soccer fans are even willing to wake up as early as 2 a.m. watch the games live on TV.

However, this practice has a negative impact on the people's daily activities during the daytime. After watching the late night games, many government employees arrive at their offices late, sleepy and with little inclination to work. But the offices still tolerate this situation with understanding.

I wish to remind the people that they should be fully aware of the need to maintain productivity in their work if we want to eradicate poverty.
