Women's attire
Zamroni Mahsun (The Jakarta Post, June 1, 1995, reprinted from Gatra) advocates a "law governing women's attire."
It is incredible that there are still some people who believe that when a man attacks a woman, it is the woman's fault. Presumably, small girls and old women, often the victims of sexual assault, are also considered responsible for "provoking men to be sexually excited."
Zamroni also apparently believes that men cannot be expected to control their sexual urges, and so should not be held entirely responsible for them. If this is true, they should all be locked up from puberty onwards.
So, sure, put us all in a sack from birth to death, and no woman need ever again fear for herself or her daughters. It is time that these fallacies were done away with. They are dangerous and oppressive to the entire female gender, which they pretend to protect.
