Women robbed of her van

JAKARTA (JP): A woman reported to the city police on Monday an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday morning in front of the SOS Medika International medical center on Jl. Fatmawati in South Jakarta, and that cost her her KIjang van.

The woman, identified as Neldy Effren, 49, a resident of Jl. Bukit Duri Selatan in South Jakarta, told the police that three men, all bearing firearms, had stolen her silver-colored van with registration number B 7136 PS.

Neldy had driven to the medical center that morning to pick up a nurse named Ida.

While waiting for Ida, two unidentified men approached the driver's window, while another positioned himself at the opposite (passenger) window. She opened the door after being threatened by the men.

Police said the robbers dropped Neldy near Pejompongan in Central Jakarta and sped away with the van. (ylt)
