BOGOR (JP): A woman filed a report on Monday with the Bogor City Police, stating that Rp 7.35 million (US$825) belonging to her employer had been stolen from her handbag by three men.

Winarti, 22, of PT Prima Dian Kencana said she was about to deposit the money in Bank Mandiri on Jl. Juanda when she suddenly realized she had forgotten something and for which she had to telephone her office.

As she was about to make the call from a public phone near the bank, three strangers approached her.

"One of them asked to borrow a pen. I told him I didn't have one," Winarti said.

After making the call, she found her handbag had been slashed.

"When I searched the bag, I learned that my company's money was missing, and my purse," she said, adding that her purse contained Rp 280,000 and several documents. (21/lup)
