Woman found dead on toll road

JAKARTA (JP): A 22-year-old woman was found dead on the Cikampek toll road in Tambun district, Bekasi, on Tuesday morning.

The woman was identified as Rochmah Rokhayati T.H., an employee of an electronics manufacturer in Cibitung.

No details on the cause of her death were available.

Rochmah's brother-in-law, Wiwid, said the family saw Rochmah for the last time when she left for work from the family home in Kampung Kebantenan, Jatiasih district, at about 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Wiwid, who went to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital to identify the body, said it was believed she died due to a wide slash to her stomach.

"I think the murderer must have been a stranger to Rochmah. She was a tomboy with many male friends. I knew her and her friends very well," he said.

Wiwid also said Rochmah's handbag was found by someone on Jl. Raya Setu, while her gold necklace and ring were missing.

He said the Tambun Police were investigating the case.

Rochmah, who was the youngest of three, will be buried in her hometown in Magelang, Central Java, he said. (ivy)
