Wiyogo has new post

JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja inaugurated his
predecessor Wiyogo Atmodarminto as chairman of the Jakarta Arts
Foundation for the 1995 to 2000 period.

In the ceremony, which took place at City Hall yesterday,
Surjadi said the foundation has a strategic task in managing and
developing Jakarta's arts and culture.

"Let's make Jakarta's culture remain firm," he said, adding
that the capital city should be able to accommodate all
development aspects, including arts and culture.

The new treasurer of the foundation is Ade Kardiman, whereas
Widagdo Sukarman is the head of department of finance. Pia
Alisyahbana heads the planning department. (sur)
