Wife killed for refusing to have sex

CILACAP, Central Java: A jealous husband had the heart to kill his wife on Wednesday for refusing to have sex.

Madyusro, 63, told the police he was furious upon learning that Tasinah, 45, had refused to sleep with for several times.

According to the Cilacap police chief, Supt. Bambang Sudarisman, Madyusro suspected that his wife had a back street man after his desire had always been rebutted.

On the day before the killing, the couple looked alright, Bambang said, quoting the suspect.

"After saying prayer at about 7:30 p.m, the enraged man attacked the woman, who was cleaning the center room of their house," Bambang said. The man allegedly used a crowbar and stone to finish his wife.

The man dragged his wife's body on the roadside, some 30 meters away from his house, in effort to make impression that she was killed in a traffic accident.

"He then went to a neighbor to watch TV. Nervous, Madyusro took the wife's body home and cried a loud, saying that his wife was just killed in a traffic accident."

Police officers who arrived at Madyusro believed that the woman was not killed in a traffic accident, said Bambang. "He finally admitted to killing his wife over jealousy." (45/sur)
