Why not on Saturdays also?

Reading books is important for everybody to increase their knowledge, especially students. The library is a perfect place to find the books one wishes to read.

I looked for a book titled Language in thought and action by S.I. Hayakawa through website http://www.amazon.com and found out it was available at US$9.60 excluding shipping fee and it would reach me within two to three days.

Realizing the money I would have to spend and the delivery time, I took the initiative to call the English Library at the Atmajaya Language Institute looking for the same title and it was there. Without having to wait for two or three days or pay a cent, I could leaf through the book and if necessary, have it photocopied. I also tried to inquire for other titles. They were also available.

However, it is a pity that such a good library is only open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is closed on Saturdays.

For comparison, the British Council's library is open from Monday to Saturday. So is the National Library. I think Atmajaya should consider opening its library on Saturdays, too. A lot of students, particularly students of English studies will have more opportunity to visit the library. As far as I know, in developed countries, libraries are visited more often on Saturdays.
