Why foreign language?

Why foreign language?

From Neraca

Housing complexes are mushrooming in the Jabotabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi) area, which is heartening. Most of the complexes use foreign names, as if they were living outside Indonesia. The developers do not hesitate to advertise their real estates, that are intended for the economically well-off group. Imagine reading a bill-board: "Palm Spring, no floods, no noise, no bad odor". Still another notice reads: "Country Estate", etc.

I am ashamed of this. I wonder whether they have a sense of patriotism. Do they feel humiliated using Bahasa Indonesia for the names of their real estates? Or perhaps they consider Bahasa Indonesia inferior. I find that Bahasa Indonesia is no less attractive for naming an area such as Bumi Serpong Damai (Peaceful Serpong Land). There are a lot of names that can be invented for that purpose. By the way, developers are not only supposed to make profits but should also have a strong love of their country.
