Where is the law enforcement?

One of our employees has embezzled company funds amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah and the case has been brought to court.

Bandung District Court, in its verdict No.243/PID/S/2001/PN.BDG, has sentenced defendant Bambang Tjanadi bin Hasin Tjanadi to one year in prison effective as of June 27, 2001. The defendant has been found guilty and legally proven to have embezzled company funds while in office. But, to date, he has not served his jail sentence. The public prosecutor has also not carried out the court's verdict in accordance with Article 270 of the Criminal Code. Consequently, the defendant is still free and able to influence other employees.

We have written to the public prosecutor inquiring about the matter, but until now we have not yet received any response.

How can this happen while the country, in particular those who hold positions of influence, frequently say that they will uphold the law and eradicate corruption, collusion and nepotism in their office?
