West Jakarta to build more roads

JAKARTA: The West Jakarta Public Works Agency will soon begin
construction of a tunnel beneath the Pesanggrahan toll road in
Arjuna, and an overpass above the Meruya-Tangerang toll road.

Agency head Dadang Suwarja said the administration had
allotted Rp 20 billion for the projects, the city's official news
portal, Beritajakarta, reported on Thursday.

"The tunnel beneath the toll road will connect the northern
and southern parts of Arjuna, which was separated by the
construction of the toll road," he said.

He said the planned overpass would ease traffic from Tomang to
Meruya. -- JP
