Water supply halts for 12 hours

JAKARTA (JP): The city's joint venture tap water company, PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja), announced on Wednesday that water supplies to West Cengkareng in West Jakarta would be disrupted for 12 hours until Thursday morning.

The company said in a statement that the disruption of water supplies was caused by repair works at Cikokol water plant, belonging to PAM Tangerang.

The areas likely to be affected include Kalideres, Warung Gantung and Puri Gardenia housing estate, all in West Jakarta.

The company said it would do its best to supply water from its other resources to those affected areas.
