Water subsides in Kedungombo

GROBOGAN, Central Java: The water level in the Kedungombo dam has dropped by six meters from the original level of 92 meters because of the long dry spell.

Spokesman for the Grobogan administration Tjipto Santoso said the situation at the dam will be critical if the water level falls below 80 meters. Despite the decrease, regions irrigated by the system originating from the dam have not suffered a water shortage, he added. (har/par)
