Water Boom opens at Lippo Cikarang
JAKARTA (JP): PT Lippo Cikarang, an urban development company, has launched Water Boom, a water recreation park at its complex in Cikarang, Bekasi.
The new facility was officially opened Saturday by James T. Riady, deputy chairman of the Lippo Group, company spokeswoman Jeanny L. Wullur, said in a statement yesterday.
Developed on a 25-hectare plot, the Balinese-style water park consists of three slides resembling an octopus' tentacles spiraling down from 17-meter-high towers, she said.
The park's other facilities include swimming pools for young children and the opportunity to experience the worlds of sea pirates and aquatic creatures.
"The Water Boom is the materialization of one of our commitments to build all the facilities needed for a self- contained city," Herman Latief, the firm's president, said.
Over 6,000 residential units have thus far been built in Cikarang, that also includes a hotel, mall, school, restaurants and places of worship. (hhr)
