Warning from LG Electronics

Recently a number of our branch offices have received phone calls from customers asking for confirmation of a lottery promising tour packages or Astrea Supra motorbikes as prizes, and supposedly organized by Goldstar Entertainment or PT Goldstar Indonesia.

The customers said some people claiming to represent Goldstar/LG had visited them or that letters (without letterheads) had been received notifying them they had won a motorbike, and they were required to deposit some money in a certain account at BCA prior to the delivery of the prize.

So far a number of customers have tried to contact by telephone the office of PT Goldstar Indonesia on the 20th floor of the Metropolitan II building on Jl. Sudirman Kav. 15, Jakarta, but nobody answered the telephone. Therefore, they contacted LG's office to get information/confirmation, because LG used to be known as Goldstar.

In connection with this we would like to say the following: - The lottery is in no way connected with PT LG Electronics Indonesia. - We have contacted the management of the Metropolitan building and have received confirmation from Ms. Rini that there is no tenant by the name of PT Goldstar Indonesia or Goldstar Entertainment in the Metropolitan I or Metropolitan II buildings in Jakarta.
