From:

War on corruption

From Bisnis Indonesia

Some believe that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) set up General Elections Commission (KPU) member Mulyana W. Kusumah, which led to his arrest on charges of bribery.

Others expect the KPK to continue its tasks until the case is thoroughly settled through the courts.

The point is that the war on corruption must go on, because the nation is facing a moral crisis, manifesting itself particularly in graft.

In dealing with the case, the views of legal experts should serve as input for the KPK and the BPK. At least the examination of KPU officials responsible for expenses indicates a proper response to such input.

The public should not be fooled by high-level deals involving KPU and BPK officials that lead to positive KPU project audit results. All irregularities should be revealed so that no more ordinary people are made scapegoats.
