Wallets found in mail boxes

BANDUNG: A director of the state-owned postal company PT Pos Indonesia found wallets and identification (ID) cards on Jl. Ahmad Yani during the company's nationwide mail box cleaning drive yesterday.

According to a post office official, hundreds of wallets, valid ID cards, driving licenses and automatic teller machine cards are found everyday.

The company's operations director Hutagaol said that the post office delivers all the ID cards and driving licenses to the owners for free.

It is believed that the items are shoved into the mail boxes by thieves after stealing the wallets and taking the money. (17/ste)
