W. Java's chief prosecutor dies

BANDUNG: The chief of the West Java High Prosecutors Office,
Soegeng Soemartopo Marsigit, died on Friday after a stroke,
according to the Attorney General's office in Jakarta.

Soegeng, 59, died in the Hasan Sadikin General Hospital in
Bandung.

Hailing from Kebumen, in Central Java, he once served in the
House of Representatives in 1967. His career as an government
attorney took him to prosecutors offices in Java and Kalimantan.
