W. Java Council speaker dies
BANDUNG: The speaker of the West Java provincial council, Idin Rafioedin, died of a heart attack on Tuesday night.
He was 51.
His death is particularly untimely for the council which is in the midst of conducting a corruption investigation against the province's governor R. Nuriana.
Friends of the deceased expressed shock at the death of Idin, who was known for having a healthy lifestyle, which included regular participation in sports. Idin did not have a history of heart disease.
Idin, who was elected chairman of the provincial assembly in October last year, was buried at Sirnaraga public cemetery on Wednesday afternoon. (25)
