Visitors at Bali expo up
JAKARTA (JP): The Food, Hotel and Tourism Bali exhibition recorded a sharp visitor increase of 42 percent compared to its last show in 1998, with some 4,000 people and 220 companies attending.
The exhibition organizer, PT Pamerindo Buana Abadi, said the three-day trade fair which ended on Saturday was highly successful despite lingering economic and political uncertainties.
According to Pamerindo, some 30 percent of participants came from outside Bali.
The event featured seminars and a cuisine contest organized by the Bali Culinary Professionals, the company said in a statement.
The Food, Hotel and Tourism Bali exhibition takes place every two years and alternates each year with the Food and Hotel Indonesia show, which is scheduled to take place in Jakarta in February next year. (bkm)
